Sifu Zimmermann shows how Bong Sao is used in WingTczun (not necessarily in Wing Chun, Wing Tsun, Weng Chun, Ving Tsun) in single/double arm Chi Sao, with Sabre (here the parry is called prime) and with the Bart Cham Dao (double knifes). Most knife defenses which are taught in different martial arts schools are wrong, like in the video.
It doesn’t really matter which style is practiced: Aikido, Taekwon Do, Karate, Kungfu, Krav Maga, Systema, Tai Chi, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu etc.
A practitioner will get a wrong confidence while practicing it this way, because he/she thinks that the chances are good for defending a knife attack.
In reality, even people who are trained well have difficulties against an attacker who is armed with a knife.
