No prior experience is required. The EWO Basic programs are designed for beginners and are taught step-by-step, so students can learn safely and confidently from their very first lesson.
Yes. Safety comes first. The lessons are led by qualified instructors. Techniques are taught in a controlled manner, and students progress at a pace appropriate for their age and experience.
The instructors are experienced, well-trained, and dedicated to creating a safe and respectful learning environment. They also continue their training to guarantee high educational and safety standards.
Most students take two classes per week to make steady progress. Attendance can be adjusted to individual schedules and goals.
The duration of the classes varies by age group, but most classes last between 45 and 60 minutes.
The EWO school usually provides advice on clothing after registration. Beginners can start with comfortable sportswear.
EWO stands for Ezcrima WingTczun Org. The main style within EWO is the Chinese Kung Fu style WingTczun. In the Leadership programs, we also teach the Philippine martial art Ezcrima.
Kung Fu means “skill acquired through hard work and time.” In the West, the term is used to refer to Chinese martial arts. In China, Kung Fu means mastery in any field. There are, in fact, hundreds of Kung Fu styles. We teach the highly effective style WingTzun.
WingTczun means “eternal spring” and is designed for self-defence in close combat. This means short-range techniques such as punches, elbow and knee strikes, as well as grabs, locks, and throws. You’ll learn to yield. You don’t have to be strong.
Excellent. WingTczun was designed for effective self-defence in close combat and was already used in the Taiping Rebellion in South China from 1850 to 1864. The strategy and tactics of WingTczun are also used in various ‘newer’ styles such as Krav Maga, Systema, MMA, etc.
