Top 5 Facebook Reels (as of October 29, 2026) and the ‘Fire’ Exam Season.
Top 5 Facebook Reels or Posts
The #1 reel remains “Quick history of the Bart Cham Dao, Part 1,” with over 516,000 views—posted on July 28. It explores the evolution of the *Bart Cham Dao* (double knives/swords): from historical reality to Chinese opera, and ultimately to the modern-day fantasy versions found in Wing Chun and various other styles of Chinese Kung Fu.
In 2nd place, with 51,000 views and posted on August 9, is Part 2 of the brief history of the Bart Cham Dao. It features examples of authentic double blades from around 1850—designed for both cutting and thrusting—contrasted with the unrealistic, overly wide, and “short” double blades often seen today.
Taking 3rd place with 28,000 views is a recent post from October 18: a reel showcasing training with the long pole (*long pole*) on a specially designed wooden dummy. The Kwun Chong is an ideal tool for elevating one’s long-pole skills to the next level.
In 4th place, with 15,000 views, is the reel “Three Grandmasters, One Historic Photo,” posted on October 1. It focuses on the “Dai Duk Lan” Kung Fu Academy in the 1950s—a place where Grandmasters Chu Chung Man (“Iron Fist”) and Tang Yik (“King of the Long Pole”) taught, and which was also frequently visited by Ip Man. Ip Man would later become the teacher of Bruce Lee and achieve worldwide fame.
In 5th place: a post regarding the grip of the rear hand when wielding the long pole, with 10,000 views. There are only two options for this: either the palm or the back of the hand facing upward. I will provide an example of how you can easily determine which grip is ultimately better (spoiler: it’s the one with the back of the hand facing up). If your palm is facing upward, you risk losing your stick if someone strikes it from above with another stick. More on this in an upcoming post.
