Man of Arrival – Sifu Edgar Zimmermann

After 28 years of practice in WingTczun (Wing Chun, Wing Tsun), Sifu Edgar Zimmermann officially became Grand Master with the age of 45. Within these 28 years, he has studied various Praising (beautiful) Spring-/ Eternal Spring Lineages and other Martial Arts Systems as well as became Master in Ezcrima (Escrima, Eskrima).
Throughout his education of Martial Arts he has mastered various weapons and therefore became weapons specialist in Martial Arts. His article ‘From Weapons to Empty Hands’ displays his extensive knowledge in and around this matter as well as builds the bridge in between Martial Arts with and without weapons while showing how the two empower one another.Along side this article many of his articles on WingTczun & Ezcrima were published in various magazines such as Budo Sports and Mix Fight.

More than 20 years ago he started his own school in Enschede/ Netherlands where he has been training people from various countries in WingTczun and Ezcrima.
Sifu Zimmermann has also developed programs with which the new generation from 4 till 14 learns and practices not only the self defense but also the self disciplinary, confidence building and team building aspects of Martial Arts.

The ‘Figure 8’ can be used in WingTczun (Wing Chun, Wing Tsun) and other Martial Arts, armed or unarmed.
The ‘Figure 8’ is a concept which is used in Ezcrima/ Escrima/ Eskrima and Arnis/ Kali (Filipino Martial Arts) and in HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts).
